From Yesenia Maria Salgado Lanzas comes a decadent and chocolatey Nicaraguan coffee from her farm, El Miraflor, in Jinotega, Nicaragua. This microlot is named Perseverance in honor of Yesenia’s enduring strength to steward her family as well as her farm. Yesenia lost her husband to illness a few years ago and has been operating the coffee farm since. The coffee is a washed process that undergoes 18 hours of fermentation before drying. In the cup you can expect a richness of chocolate and tobacco with hints of dried fruit like cherry and prune.
