This is our first coffee from Julia Mara Madeira of Sítio Penha in Nova Resende, Brazil, and we’re delighted to share her microlot experiment with you. It’s typical of Brazilian coffees to be categorized by screen size, and this lot is screen 19, which represents only 3% of her total harvest this year. Separating this specific size brings impressive clarity and depth to the cup. The result is a clean, chocolatey profile with notes of fig, papaya, and almond. Almond Mocha makes for an awesome morning drip or espresso.
