It’s washed Ethiopians like this that keep the coffee world spinning. Banko Gotiti is a legendary producing hub in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia. This washed lot is the product of approximately 763 smallholder farmers all bringing their coffee cherries to the Banko Gotiti washing station. From there the coffee is sorted, depulped and dried on raised beds for 12-15 days. The coffee is frequently raked to promote even drying and covered with tarps during the heat of the day. You should hope to taste creamy tropical fruits like guava paired with a jasmine tea-like finish.
